Some flowers can look really great and authentic, even if they are are artificial. Some flowers and plants can look great artificial if they have the right look and colour. When understanding which artificial flowers to go for, look after flowers with a lot of textures and layers. In many cases, it can be worth of paying a bit more more for artificial flowers.
There is a lot of online stores that sells artificial flowers today, but in this overview I’ll focus on the ones you can find on Amazon. I will showcase some pictures of similar flowers that are real as well. This is for you to get some inspiration of how you can use it.

1. Red, Orange and Yellow flowers
As you can see in this example, these flowers have a lot of layers and different textures that makes them look more. I really like how the colours red, orange and yellow works together. A perfect item to use as a centre piece on a table.
2. Pink Peonies
Another great example of artificial flowers, is pink peonies. Peonies are a brilliant artificial flower since it has tons and tons of layers. Try to aim for a set of peonies that has different colours and combinations – also go for lighter colours since lighter peonies looks more real.
3. White Hydrangeas
White hydrangeas are also a great example to buy artificial. They have so much movement and textures that it makes it less visible that they are artificial. These flowers can also work well in light pink or in light blue – but try to stay away from bold and darker colours since this can make the flowers look less real since bold colours can attract more attention.
4. Sunflowers
Sunflowers is always a great flower to bring some sunshine into a home. But Sunflowers are not always in season and therefore not always accessible to buy. Artificial is therefore a great option to have sunflower all year round.
5. Grey Eucalyptus
Grey eucalyptus is also a great example of a tasteful artificial flower which work really well in a minimalistic home with a neutral colour scheme. They can be combined with other flowers or by itself.
6. Purple Lavender
I really love the simplicity of lavender. It’s a great flower to add to make your home more welcoming. It’s a flower that really work well in the french country home design or shabby chic. You can get lavender as an artificial flower, but you can also get them dried. A brilliant option if you also want the smell of lavender.
7. Pink Roses
Another classic flower to add to your home, is roses. I think the best colour that works in most homes, are cream and pink. You can get cheap artificial roses on Amazon, but if you want a bit higher quality on artificial roses, then I would recomend to check out Etsy. Here’s an example of pink quality roses sold on Etsy
These are my favourites when it comes to funding good artificial flowers. Who are yours?
