It’s at the end of the weekend and a new week is about to begin. I had a slow start to the weekend, sometimes you need to just do nothing to be able to recharge. But today we have been in Hampshire, visiting family and seen a lovely home decorated for Christmas.
We are preparing for leaving the London flat in 1 1/2 week and there are therefore not as much Christmas decoration in our home compared to the family home in Hampshire. We are not having a Christmas tree and not any other large decorations either.
But even tough the tree is missing, I am still trying to bring some of the Christmas spirit into our last days with the London flat. Therefore, last night I created a simple Scandianvian Christmas Coffee table with a few items I had.

The decoration contains: 1. Six small Christmas trees from the White Company2. Two water glasses3. Two candles4. Three meter of tartan ribbon (that matches the sofa) 5. A big branch (that had fallen to the ground in Holland Park and I picked up and ran with home)6. A couple of small branches7. A couple of pieces of rind

I started with placing the large branch on the table first, then I tried to place the two glasses in places where the branch was bent and it felt natural to have a candle. After, I placed the small Christmas trees around the branch, trying to balance both sides and both ends of the decoration. The next item, the ribbon. I created a bow at the end and attached it with some wiring. After, I let the ribbon go around the items in the creation, before I added another bow at the end of the decoration. To finish it all, I added some small branches and rind where I saw it was open spaces to the creation.

This is what I used:

What do you think? Have you decorated your coffee table for Christmas?
