Every winter season, I start planning for what kind of outfits that I can wear when it gets cold. I try my best to find an outfit combination that is chic while still being warm. This year, I have been inspired by the Old Money look when finding inspiration for winter. The outfit combinations I have created all have quality pieces from some of Old Money favorite brands like Ralph Lauren, while also using items from low cost fashion stores like H&M.
Old Money is about quality and tailoring over flashy brands. It’s about looking tasteful and put together. I have focused on finding the right color combinations, using the right quality fabrics and adding small but very important details and accessorises. Old Money is a style that goes from top to toe.

Here are my top 5 Old Money Winter Looks that you can easily copy
1. Winter White
You can never go wrong with Winter White. It will elevate you from a sea of black puffer jackets when you walk through the streets at winter. Winter White will never go out of style and is a staple for the old money look. I have in this combination added som beige items like the boots, gloves, belt and bag. I have also replicated the fringe in the coat and the bag, to make it look more put together. This is an outfit that is perfect for work, lunch or even dinner with the girls.

2. Old Money in Brown
I have seen more brown items being released this year compared to previous winters and I really LOVE this dark mocca brown reflected in this outfit. This is a more casual look, with an oversized taupe knitted sweater and taupe mini skirt. But the accessorises makes the look into something that looks like old money. The boots and bag matches each other perfectly. The coat is long enough to keep you warm even though you are in a mini skirt and the scarf breaks the monochromatic look with a pop of color.

3. Chic in Grey, White and Black
I love a chic look at winter and this look with a 60s style mini coat, styled with white gloves, white bag and a white bow will make you look cute, even though it’s freezing outside. The outfit has a sweater and miniskirt set in mohair which will make you warm and toasty. This is a perfect look if you are going shopping or going out eating with your girlfriends.

4. Old Money Military Style
This look has more drama and structure. I got inspired by this combination from an old Ralph Lauren ad that had a long black skirt with a white shirt. There is something masculine but also feminine with this combination I really love. The almost black outfit is broken up by gold metal on the coat, bag, gloves and belt. Making it look put together. This is perfect for an evening at the opera or a show. It also works for a late night dinner where you want to dress up, but also not be too over the top.

5. Old Money in Snowy Mountains
If I was heading to a mountain city this winter, then this is how I want to look. The red and black look makes the outfit really stand out and I love to combine the Norwegian knitting pattern with some American cowboy boots. A perfect combination of country, heritage, cozy and dressed up. This look is definitely something I’m planning to get into my wardrobe.
