A fireplace is a staple in a home and an area which tends to bring people together. There is something meditative starring into a fireplace and see the flames dance on top go the logs. Make sure that you always tidy up your fireplace after use with removing the remaining ashes straight away when it has gone cold. Make sure that you have a dedicated ash bucket (steel bucket) that you can put the ashes in and a dust tray to collect it with. This will make the process of removing ashes go way smoother. Make sure that you also know the process of where to throw your ashes.
After you have removed the ashes, tidy up and wash the area around the fireplace to make sure that there are no remaining dust or dirt around the fireplace.
2. Prepare fireplace with wood

Try to decorate with a garland, some flowers or candles. Decorate with photo frames of loved ones or of trinkets that brings found memories. You can also decorate it depending on different seasons; being Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Summer or Autumn. It is all about making the fireplace a place you want to be.
5. Use candles when you cannot bother to light the fireplace
Using candles and decorating inside and around the fireplace is a great way to get some of the same ambiance that a fireplace gives without actually lighting a fire. Buy candles in different heights and sizes and decorate them inside the fireplace and/or around it with the tallest in the back and the shortest in the front. This will make your brain think that you have light a fire.
To make it even easier, you can also use battery driven candles that you can control by a remote control. It cannot get more easier that that, so you have no excuse.
