1. Neutral and Minimalistic Christmas Tree Decor
The centre of attention for any decorated living room, is the Christmas tree. I do like a real Christmas tree, but sometimes that can be difficult for people to manage due to location, lifestyle or health. A Scandinavian Christmas tree do not need a lot of decor for it to look amazing. I like to add lights, balls and ribbons. And that’s it! Try to make the colors of the balls match the room or compliment the colors in the room.

2. Christmas Garland
Christmas garland is such a great way to extend the Christmas tree decoration to other areas of the home. A Christmas garland is normally used over a fireplace or in a staircase. But you can also use a garland as a table decoration if you have neither of them.

3. Lighting up small wooden house decor
Lighting up your home with small wooden houses at Christmas is a cosy way to create atmosphere. You can have one house standing by its self, or you can have a village of houses. You can light them up with candles or small led lights if you don’t want to take the risk.

4. Scandinavian Christmas Star in the window
When December arrives (1st Sunday in Advent), homes in Scandinavia put up a Christmas star in their window so people outside can see them. It is so magical to walk through a neighbourhood all lit up by Christmas stars. It’s a great way of showing the spirit of Christmas.

5. Christmas Candles
The last easy item you can add, is a Christmas candle. I love a smell of pine cone and forest at Christmas time. Its especially great if you don’t have a real Christmas tree, but still wants the smell of a real tree. My favorite is the large tree wick candle from The White Company. But there are a lot of other cheaper options out there that works well as well.
