Good morning all! I love going online to look for new interior items. Online shopping is getting easier and easier, even when it comes to larger furniture. It’s also perhaps the best way to now look for new items, since the year is 2020 and the world is not what it once was.
One of my favourite interior shops for small items offering many at affordable prices, is Zara Home. They do brilliantly in a mix between bohemian and Scandinavian design. I always enjoyed trips whilst living in London, checking out Zara Home in Westfield at Shepherds Bush and fell in love with the brand.
Here are some of my Zara autumn favourites for 2020.
FLORAL EARTHENWARE TABLEWARE
I really like that florals are coming back in fashion. There is something so warm and welcoming with florals with tableware – it can soften the look of any table. This tableware comes in multiple items with large mugs and serving plates. A great look that will work for autumn and perhaps even more for spring.
STONEWARE SET WITH PAINTED FLOWERS
Here is another example on floral tableware that are a bit more bohemian and a bit less classic. This would really work well in summers on a green table cloth, for example when you want to have an outdoor party. You do not neessisaty need to have all the items for it to work well on your table. Mix it with other items that for example has some of the same colours or other plates also with florals.
EMBOSSED SILVER-TONED FLATWARE
Zara Home has a lot of lovely cutlery and these ones are my new favorites. They are classic in silver with a shape and design at the end that delivers an almost fairytale experience. The design is shaped like a large gem, or berry. You can be excused for feeling you are momentarily transported to a fairytale world – I love adding items like this to your home that inspire you to think and wonder.
FLOWER AND BRANCH PRINT TABLECLOTH
The floral design and style can also be found in the table cloths and I really like this one. It’s not too busy and not too plain with being white in the middle and decorated around the ends. A great item for late summer and early autumn Bruch.
FLORAL PRINT NAPKIN
I really, really like this napkin. I love the sky-blue and the strong and defined colours of the flowers. It’s a perfect item to easily add to a plain table. This napkin would work really well with a white table cloth, white tableware and flowers that compliment the flowers on the napkins. Pastel colours also work really well with this piece. Truly a dream for a table.
FOLDING TRAY
The mix of textures on this folding tray is very aesthetically pleasing. The rattan breaks up the hardness of the table. Wood also softens the look. It’s a great item for the bedroom and also for the sofa. It can be styled on a console table.
MULTICOLORED CHECK PLATE
Another way to add identity to a home is to add a plate with some character. This plate is a great addition to a cottage home – brilliant for pie or dessert! Try to make the item blend with your home, surrounding it with natural or other similar colors.
FRAME WITH DOUBLE PASSE-PARTOUT
Zara Home always have really tasteful frames that are minimalistic, clean and affordable. I really like double frames, it’s a great way to combine two pictures, for example – portrait pictures of a couple or pictures from a trip with one picture focused on people and the other on item or a place from the trip. A great way to create a long lasting memory of the trip.
CORAL DECORATION
Another item that you can add to a Scandinavian or a minimalistic home is a coral decoration, especially if you would like some coastal vibes to your home. A coral decoration works really well in a home with a lot of naturals, like whites, beiges and browns.
FLOWERPOT WITH ANTIQUE FINISH
Adding plants and flowers to a home is always a good idea. I tend to struggle to find good flowerpots, since they tend to clash with the softness of a plant and the hardness of a shiny white flowerpot. But this antique flowerpot blend really well with plants. This item also works well in a minimalistic/Scandinavian home.
CASHMERE BLANKET
Can you imagine something more soft and cosy than a cashmere blanket? I really this item in the moss green colour. It works well with naturals, blues, yellows and reds. It can be used on a bed, over a sofa or over an armchair.
OVAL FABRIC-LINED BASKET
I really like a home with lots of fresh and clean towels. This oval lined basket is a great way of holding towels and linens in a room. Placed on a bed in a spare room when guests stay, adds a sophisticated and luxurious touch. Helping to create a really warm welcome for your guests.
